Emona village is situated 5 km away from St. Vlad, just a few miles to the south of the town of Obzor. According to the legends, Emona is the birthplace of the Thracian king Rez who participated in the Thracian war. The remains of a Bulgarian medieval fortress are still visible in Emona. There is also a light house and remains of a monastery.
